Teresa Brodniewicz, MSc, PhD
President

Dr. Brodniewicz founded MTZ Clinical Research Sp. z o.o.  in 2002 and since than has served as Vice President and Director of Scientific Affairs and Development. In 2008 she became the President of the Company while she is also still directing Research and Development. Under her supervision the Company has grown steadily from a small research site to the leading Polish CRO specialized in Phase I, II and BE/BA clinical trials.
Dr. Brodniewicz becomes the President of MTZ US Clinical Research after she expanded the MTZ Clinical Research Sp. z o.o.  to the United States and North America.

Currently she is also the Management Board Member of Good Clinical Practice Society and an elected member of Advisory Group at European Commission to FP7 Project - Health Team.

Before funding MTZ she was a Director of Clinical Operations at Parexel International responsible for establishing clinical research operations in Central and Eastern Europe. At Paraxel she also headed the business development activities. Before that she was the Vice President and Chief Scientific Officer at Haemacure Corporation, the biopharmaceutical company developing tissue adhesives based in Montrea, Canada. And earlier she worked as the Scientific Director at Armand Frappier Blood Fractionation Center, Laval, Canada.

Dr. Brodniewicz received her PhD from the Institute of Biochemistry and Biophysics of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw, and her MSc degree in Biology from the Lodz University with, Poland. In addition she did her postdoctoral fellow at McGill University in Montreal, Canada, and later on at Armand Frappier Institute, Laval, Canada.

She authored and co-authored a number of publications in the area of plasma fractionation, blood coagulation factors, and clinical research in such scientific journals as: Nature, Blood Reviews, Vox Sanguinis, Thrombosis and Haemostasis and others. She also delivered numerous lectures and workshops in the area of blood plasma fractionation, viral safety of blood derivatives, tissue sealants and clinical research.

Responsibilities at MTZ Clinical Research: Dr. Zbigniew Proba cofounded MTZ Clinical Research in Warsaw, Poland in 2002 and has served as President of the company until 2008. In 2008 he assumed position of General Director.

 Professional background and other activities: Dr. Proba graduated from the Chemistry Department of the Warsaw University in 1970 with MSc degree and received his PhD degree in Biochemistry from the Institute of Biochemistry and Biophysics of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw, Poland in 1979. From 1981 to 1983 he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Chemistry Department of McGill University, Montreal, Canada and later worked there as Research Associate. In 1992 he joined Haemacure Corporation, Montreal based biopharmaceutical company as R&D Project Manager. In 2000 he became Managing Director of MedSource Poland, a clinical research company based in Warsaw, Poland. He is the author and co-author of 23 scientific papers and US patent.
